No matter how streamlined you think your kitchen is, there is always room for improvement. A kitchen home improvement project can involve changing the tiles, installing a bigger sink, or replacing the cabinets and counter tops. If you have a small kitchen, you will find that a built-in kitchen island increases convenience without compromising on space. New cabinets and counter tops can transform your old kitchen into a bright new space. If you are tired of your laminated surfaces, and modern kitchen looks, a country kitchen remodel will give you a beautiful old fashioned kitchen that puts the warmth back into your kitchen.
From being a luxurious looking feature restricted to kitchens in large and wealthy homes, the kitchen island has moved center stage to occupy a place in kitchens everywhere. No modern home is complete without a built in kitchen sink, and if you have never considered how a kitchen island can enhance the process of preparation of food for maximum efficiency and time saving, then you are missing out on the biggest kitchen design secret out there. A kitchen island fitted in with your stove or appliances offers the sink -- stove -- refrigerator free-flow design that has been confirmed to be the ideal kitchen plan. Your built-in kitchen island may or may not have seating, but a split level kitchen island with cabinets on one side and free space for seating on the other helps your island double as counter space as well as a dining area.
Your kitchen remodel is one of the most value-intensive investments you can make in your home. Home buyers almost always look for well planned kitchens that are bright and beautiful. If you want to over haul your kitchen completely, insist on high quality materials for cabinets and counter tops, durable tiles for flooring, and coordinated sinks and faucets. If the choice is between a high quality floor that looks good and lasts long, and gold plated faucets, go with the flooring because that is one of the first things potential home buyers will notice. By making wise decisions, your kitchen remodel dollars can go a long way.

I would like to convert a 2 car garage into a living room. This would include removing the garage door and adding a window and siding. Also, we would like to add a shower to the existing 1/2 bathroom. (we would need to extend the bathroom into the garage area by 4 feet to make room for the stand up shower)
